Having braces doesn’t mean you have to sit on the sidelines – but it does mean playing smart. If you’re an athlete with braces, protecting your smile is just as important as protecting the rest of your body.

At AB Orthodontics, we provide orthodontic mouthguards for all of our athletic patients. Mouthguards help keep your teeth, braces, and lips safe during games and practices. Skipping a mouthguard can lead to broken brackets, injuries, and extra office visits – so it’s always worth wearing one.

After practices or games, it’s important to check your braces. If something feels loose, pokes, or doesn’t seem right, let your parents know and contact our office right away so we can take care of it promptly to keep your treatment on track.
